Off-Campus Opportunities

Students work in the community of Frankfort. Employers include restaurants such as O'Charley's, Frisch's, Shoney's, Fazoli's, Dairy Queen and others. We also have several individuals who work and/or volunteer at Frankfort Regional Hospital, Beverly Health Care Center, and Ashwood Pace, an assisted living center.

Frankfort, Habilitation, Inc., a local sheltered workshop, also employs students, who work on a variety of tasks contracted in from other companies. Our school and the workshop are within yards of each other, allowing the unique opportunity to work closely together. Frankfort Habilitation offers sheltered employment, supportive employment, job placement, skills evaluation and training and assistance with competitive employment transitions.

On-Campus Opportunities

Numerous on-campus employment opportunities help students develop a sense of responsibility while also building self-esteem and career-related skills. Whether the position provides the prospect for gainful employment or is a volunteer position, each student takes great pride in his accomplishments knowing he has contributed to the success of our school.

Some examples of on-campus employment at Stewart Home School include Laundry Assistant, Kitchen Helper, Housekeeping, Teacher's Aide, Medical Department Aide, Central Supply Deliverer, and Administrative Office Assistant.
