An early Birthday present: Eric earns his GED !

The Academic Department of Stewart Home School remains dedicated to helping every student achieve his or her potential. The education our students receive is not only special; it is typical of hard-working students everywhere.

Eric's accomplishment of acquiring his G.E.D. just one week before his 30th birthday is a long awaited dream come true.  Eric worked (while holding down a job at SONIC!!) diligently and with the help of his teachers here at the school and at Thorn Hill Learning Center he accomplished what he set out to do. 

Eric came to SHS thirteen years ago with the goals of gaining more independence and a G.E.D.  Now he has both!  He’s moved into his own condo near his parents and is enjoying his work and his family.  To say we are proud doesn’t begin to describe the joy we are feeling at SHS.  He has inspired all of us and we are absolutely thrilled for him-and for us, too!
