Stewart Home School currently employs a 130-member team of quality individuals, each dedicated to the total care of our 400 plus residents. The ultimate goal of each staff member is "The safety, health and happiness of our students – to provide a place to live, a place to learn and a place to love."

Stewart Home School has become a major employer in Franklin and surrounding counties, providing unique and rewarding employment opportunities in the areas of:

Administration

A variety of administrative positions, including Accounting, Human Resources, Insurance, Support Staff, etc.

Food Services

All levels of dietary positions - assistants, cooks, dietary specialists, supervisors and director.

Houseparenting

Live-in "caregiver" position, providing parental supervision to a group of female or male students in a residential setting. On-campus housing, utilities, meals, etc. provided.

Medical

Under the direction of our resident physician, our medical staff - Nurse Practitioner, LPNs, Triage, Medical Transport, Medical Office Manager, Evening/Weekend Supervisor and Security Personnel care for or arrange care for our 415 residents.

Operations

This division of Stewart Home School is made up of professionals and assistants in the areas of: Landscaping and Lawn Care; Construction; Maintenance; Painting; HVAC and Plumbing; Purchasing; Laundry and Housekeeping.

Recreation

Creativity and good organizational skills are a must for this department, whose staff plans all of the recreational activities for our residents including: dances, parties, day trips, long trips, Special Olympics events and much, much more.

School Program

A rewarding teaching environment without many of the cumbersome requirements of a public school setting. Traditional classes taught, as well as special classes offered, including: Art, Drama, Music, Handbell Choir, Journalism, Physical Education, Horseback Riding and Vocational Skills.
